Janice Pauline Hiett

September 22, 1937July 25, 2019

Janice Pauline Hiett passed away on July 25, 2019.

She was born September 22, 1937 in Denver, CO to Earl & Sylvia Gibson. She grew up in Denver where she attended East High School.

Jan started working with Mountain Bell as a telephone operator and retired from US West/Qwest Communications many years later. She worked very hard throughout her life to raise her daughters. She would do anything for them or anyone who was lucky enough to meet her. If you needed her, she’d be there to help!

Her passions throughout life included bowling, road trips, reading, puzzle books, gardening, playing Lotto, baseball, watching Jeopardy & spending time with family and friends. Her greatest love was her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. We will forever carry your memory in our hearts.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Hiett (Rich) & Kristie (Mike) Barrett. Her grandchildren, Kori Barrett and Brodie Barrett will greatly miss her too. Mom was always so grateful, as is her family, for her neighbor angels, the Olin and Rocha families.

A celebration of her life will be held on August 10, 2019 at 10:00AM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd. Centennial, CO 80121.

Kelly and Kristie, I send all my love to you. Janice was such a special friend. We could go years without being in touch, but as soon as we started talking it just seemed like yesterday.

She was my soul sister. We had so very much in common. We were both only children, both had to 2 wonderful daughters and both had the same kind of personalities.

I will never forget Janice. Knowing her for over 40 years and I never knew her middle name was Pauline. I’m sure she’s laughing down at me. What a secret she kept. Love to all.
