

Arthur Lee Andersen, age 91, died peacefully on Feb. 3, 2022. He was born Jan. 7, 1931 in Ethel, Washington to the late Harold and Elsie May Andersen. Art graduated from Toutle Lake High School on June 10, 1949. On Sept. 28, 1950, he enlisted into the United States Navy. On his first leave, he married his wife of 70 years, Betty Brown. Art completed his tour of duty on July 29, 1954. In 1960, they bought their home of 63 years in Centralia. Arthur spent most of his adult life working for the Continental Baking Company, retiring Feb. 1, 1993.
Arthur was preceded by his brother William Andersen and son Jesse Andersen.
He is survived by his brother Richard Joe Andersen, wife Betty Andersen, children Johnny and Leona. Arthur had six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was a life member and past master of the Centralia Masonic Lodge, a life member and past patron of the Centralia Order of Easter Star, and a life member of the National Rifle Association. Arthur enjoyed many years of hunting and golfing. He enjoyed growing a garden and keeping his yard beautiful.
Arthur will never be forgotten by the many lives he has touched. He will live on in the hearts of all those who love him.
