Charles LaBorde

Charles LaBorde passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Myrtle Jeansonne LaBorde for 61 years. Loving father of Michael Charles LaBorde (Shelly) and Janis Fontenot (Allen). Son of the late Augustine and Ruby Ducote LaBorde. Brother of Nelson LaBorde (the late Linda). Proud grandfather of Blayze Paul LaBorde, Blade Charles LaBorde, Krissy Fradella, Heidi Wolbrite, Mindy Kass, Callie Fontenot Lipps, Cody Allen Fontenot and Clayton Ray Fontenot. Great grandfather of Remy Jacob Augustine Lipps, Uncle of Brian and Mark LaBorde.

Charles was a native of Hessmer, LA and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 20 years. He has been a resident of Slidell, LA for the last 25 years. Charles was employed with Bulk Transport and Carlo Ditta Concrete Inc. He then started his own business, Charles LaBorde Inc. Charles retired after Hurricane Katrina. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. GENEVIEVE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 58189 Louisiana 433, Slidell, LA on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
