He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of St. Bernard parish for 45 years until hurricane Katrina hit where he then relocated to Franklinton, LA for the last 14 years. Kevin was born to Joycelyn Kennedy and Richard C. Oramous Sr. After being friends for 36 years Kevin and Carol resided together for 19 years and married on Valentine’s Day 2016. It was the most beautiful Sunday ever! Devoted father of Kevin Oramous Jr. (Sammie), and Amanda Marie Naquin Whitman (Kerry). Grandfather of Karson Casper, Austin, Brooklynn, Ava-Jayde, Peter VI, Kylie, and Kiera. Brother of Richard C. Oramous Jr. (Joy) and the late Michelle Oramous Flattmann (Danny). Kevin is also survived by his nieces and nephews Rachel (Ryan), Daniel, Kacie, Ricky (Dawn), Joshua, Micah, and Shasy (Aaron). He was a highly devoted family man. Kevin loved hunting so much he involved his son as soon as he could walk. He loved fishing. Kevin, his wife, and children loved crabbing and crawfishing every weekend before going to his sister’s house where her family prepared for the festivities. These were memories to cherish. He loved flying his RC planes with his wife, brother, son, and daughter. He was a lover and caretaker for many, many animals ... dogs, cats, possums, ducks, chickens, turkeys, squirrels, quails, rabbits, and many others were all loved and cared for by Kevin and his family. Kevin always took pride in any job he took on. His first job was at NASA as a crane operator. But his love for the water was his greatest, he had a 21' ft Lafitte Skiff built to become a commercial fisherman. As a construction worker he did vinyl siding. He was also an arborist, welder, and electrician by trade.
