Sidney Alfred Carlini, 82, of Covington, LA passed away on April 1, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Rose T. Carlini. Sidney is survived by his two children, Angela C. Zulli, (Darrin) and Amy Carlini. Sidney, fondly known as Pawpaw, doted on his four grandchildren, Blake (Hannah), Adam (fiancé Madeline), Ashley and Alexa. His grandkids loved spending time with their Pawpaw and will deeply miss him. He is also survived by his sister, Sylvia C. Calico, and her late husband John Calico. Sidney was predeceased by his parents Sidney J. Carlini and Martha P. Carlini. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He retired in 2002 as a Routeman for National Linen Service after approximately 40 years of loyal service. While at National Linen he served many years as a union steward for the New Orleans location. He served in the Louisiana Army National Guard for 2 years. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, Tulane baseball, horse racing, high school volleyball and he especially loved watching his grandchildren playing baseball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. He was a native of Chalmette, LA and resident of Covington, LA for the past 19 years. Please rejoice with the family that Sidney is now with his wife, parents, granddaughter, family, and friends who have gone before him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
