I have been friends with Jeni for over 60 years. As I look back over the years of friendship, I have been so blessed to have known her. My life became richer knowing her and her wonderful parents. Jeni sparkled with personality, humor and a positive outlook on life. Her laugh was infectious! In high school she was a real leader and was kind to everyone. Her family meant the world to her, and she often shared their experiences with me. The void that she leaves in my life is now filled with special memories! I know she is in a better place reunited with her parents, sister and brother.
I love you Jeni, until we meet again, and we will.

Jeni was a wonderful lady. My family has many fun and joyful memories with her. The ones that I keep closest to my heart are when her and Jim attending Edgar and I's wedding, Disneyworld Trip when I was younger with my grandparents Leroy and Arlene Gabriel and Collin, and seeing her when my grandfather Leroy did real estate with Jim in the Century 21 office. I'm so thankful for her that she was able to spend all these memories with me and my family. So Sorry for your families lost. She will be a beautiful angel.

Jeni has been a dear friend since we were children. I will always remember her joy, laughter and her commitment to friendships and her family. She could always find humor in the most difficult situations. There were no boundaries to her care and love for those in her circle. I will miss her deeply!

I am so very sorry for your loss. I, too, have special memories of Jeni in high school. She taught me a valuable life lesson about perseverance that I’ve shared with my own children and students through the years. When Jeni tried out for cheerleading the first time, she wasn’t elected by her peers. I had suffered the same fate a year earlier, and I never had the confidence to try again. Jeni, however, never gave up and she returned the following year to not only be elected, but she ultimately made the varsity squad before she was through. I never forgot her determination, her grace, and her courage all rolled up into one dynamic and unforgettable personality. She was a remarkable girl, woman, and friend. I can only imagine how much she’ll be missed. May God give comfort and peace to her loved ones as they remember her amazing life. Rest In Peace, dear friend, until we all meet again one fine day....

Oh, I am so sad to hear this! Jeni and I were especially close friends in elementary school at Wilson, and continued with cheerleading and other activities at South JH and RCHS. We spent time at the theaters, but mostly, we
just “played” at her house or mine. Jeni — like her parents, John and Guelda, had the sunniest disposition! She was magnetic with people just wanting to be close to her. I flew with them in their plane to Pierre where John was in a parade, and we visited the State Theater there her grandparents owned. We also visited Tom and Johnna at the University. I remember her doggie, “Bomber”! Love, prayers, condolences, and peace to Jim and all the Family. I will sadly share this with our RCHS Class of 1965 classmates page on Facebook.💜🌠😔☮️
