Alyssa was the kind of person who made life brighter simply by being in it. A beautiful soul with a smile that could light up any room, she carried a warmth that drew people to her instantly. Her laugh was unforgettable — contagious, joyful, and full of life — the kind that made everyone around her laugh too.
Family meant everything to her. She loved deeply and fiercely, always showing up for the people she cared about with a generous heart and open arms. Her friends knew they could count on her for absolutely anything, because loyalty and love came naturally to her. She had a way of making every person feel special, seen, and valued.
She also found peace and happiness in the simple, beautiful things — tending to her plants, caring for her beloved dogs, and creating beauty wherever she went. Whether she was surrounded by flowers blooming under her care or sharing quiet moments with her pets, she poured love into everything she touched.
She could command a room without even trying, not because she demanded attention, but because her spirit was magnetic. Her kindness, humor, and radiant energy left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Though her absence leaves an ache that words can never fully heal, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Her light was extraordinary, and it will never truly fade.
Alyssa is survived by her mother Francine Everett, father Winthrop Schoenewerk , stepdad Jason Everett, brother William Schoenewerk, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Schoenewerk, sister Diana Gierasch, and her fur babies Frank, Penny, Piper , Chuckie, and Jojo.
The family will greet friends from 1pm-4pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte.
