Van Rue McVickers, Sr., 69, of Charlotte died Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. McVickers was born to the late Leonard William McVickers and Regina McManus McVickers on January 12, 1950. He retired from Carolina Foods.

Mr. McVickers is survived by his wife Anh Nguyen, children Van Rue McVickers, Jr. (Becky), Deborah Lynn McVickers (Gary), Joe William McVickers, Treasa Renee McVickers, sister Patsy Thomas (Robert), brothers Arthur McVickers, Gary McVickers (Ethel), Rick McVickers, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
