Betty started coming regularly to my Nia classes at acac about a year ago after being introduced to the practice by our mutual friend Sheila. To watch her move was to see someone who was coming to life. I loved having her in class and will miss her. 

I am a friend of Betty's and just heard this sad news.
I introduced her to Nia, a movement practice that she loved, and we danced together several times a week for over a year! I noticed her missing from class this week and wondered what was wrong. I obviously didn't hear back when I messaged her. I googled her name and saw this obituary. I wish I knew what happened. My heart hurts.

Betty Lou   and I became friends when she moved into Lakeside Apt. Community, Charlottesville, Va   We spent time together exploring the area and  doing day trips together.  I will miss her very much.  She was a good friend.

Betty Lou was my forever friend who shared all my joys and sorrows. Her great friendship sustained me through life and I will miss her very much.

Thank you for all the fun memories you gave me in the time I knew you. I won't forget when you took me to see a Christmas Carol, or the last hiking trip we went on. You always listened to what I had to say and gave very helpful advice. The world has lost a very wholesome person, and you will be missed dearly. -Chase Ross
