Lowell Kenneth Thompson, 82, of Keswick passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016. Born on June 7, 1933 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Jethro and Mary Gladys Thompson. In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Claudia B. Thompson; his sons, Lowell Ashley Thompson and his wife Sherry, Justin Kenneth Thompson and his wife Barbara; his daughter, Annabel Britton and her husband Timothy; and, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lowell is also survived by a host of other family and friends that will sorely miss him. Lowell was a retired electrical engineer. He also enjoyed restoring antiques and upholstery. Lowell was a devoted bible student throughout his life, and was a member of the Charlottesville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
