The picture of Frank (Mr. Pfeil to me) in the obit looks just like I remember him from my years living in Pompton Plains in the house behind theirs. I think that was over 40 years ago!
My condolences to Betty, Nancy and my old pal Kathy on the loss of a great man and father.

My wife and I never met Mr. Pfeil but we know Ron and Pat very well and if the quality of a man's life can be judged by the quality and patriotism of his children then Frank Pfeil lead an extraordinarily successful life.

Our condolences to his bride and life partner, Mrs. Pfeil, all of his children, grandchildren and everyone who will miss him. From me and my family: God be with you sir, and thank you for your great and scary sacrifice to our country in WWII.

Although I did not personally know Mr. Pfeil, I am very aware of the sacrifices he and men like him made to provide freedom to those oppressed during WWII. These men are the true "stars" and although not famous for making a movie or singing a song, they are more impressive to me than anyone in show business could ever dream of being. Thank you for your service to our country Mr. Pfeil. You will never be forgotten.
