Peter M. V. Valle
June 28, 1943 – March 19, 2018
CENTERVILLE – Peter M.V. Valle, 74, died Monday, March 19, 2018 at Cape Cod Hospital with family by his side after a period of declining health.
Peter was born in Natick, MA to the late Lt. Col. Peter M. Valle and Beatrice A. (Barratt) Valle. Being in the military, the family enjoyed the opportunity to experience many places and finally settled in Chatham, MA.
Peter graduated from Chatham High School in 1962 and received an associate’s degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Peter had a long career with the Commonwealth Electric Company and once retired from there, worked part time as a sales clerk until his illness. He also served many years as a member of the Army Reserves and retired with the rank of Major. Peter was a lover of antique army vehicles and a train enthusiast. He was an active member of the Nauset Model Railroad Club, Cape Cod Model Railroad Club and Cape & Island Model Railroad Club.
Peter is survived by his twin brother, Arthur R. (Alzize) Valle, of Centerville, MA; sister, Lynne M. Valle, of Branford, CT; niece, Catherine M. (Mark) Valle and great nephew, John J. Shakliks III of Harwich, MA as well as extended family in Natick, MA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27th from 11 AM to 12 PM at Nickerson Funeral Home in Chatham. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to the Special Olympics and the American Diabetes Association.
