Dennis Allen Duncan

Dennis Allen Duncan, passed at his home in Chehalis WA Sunday, October 9, 2011, after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was born June 27, 1948 in Toppenish, WA to Ernest J. Duncan and Edna E. (Liebrecht) Duncan. Dennis was a graduate of Sunnyside High School and of Yakima Valley Community College. He worked as an accountant first in the Yakima Valley at Tioga Industries and at Andrus Roberts and most recently for Bradley Enterprises, Centralia and then at TJT in Chehalis. On June 29, 1996 Dennis married Maxine Evelyn Pedersen his loving wife of 15 years. Dennis's joys in life were his family, being the boss in his kitchen and cooking/barbecuing many special meals for his loved ones. He always looked forward to attending his grandchildren's sporting events and taking his wife on special trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Las Vegas, Arizona, as well as fishing and camping. Dennis is preceded in death by his father Ernest Duncan, mother Edna Duncan, and a brother Donald Duncan. He is survived by his wife Maxine Duncan, his children Tim(Jennifer) Sayler,Chehalis; Derek (Stephanie) Pedersen, Chehalis; Wendy (Jason) Naillon, Winlock; Cindy (Scott) Albert, Chehalis; and Cynthia Duncan and Darin Duncan of Kent and Covington. A brother Dale (Reana) Duncan, Goodyear, Arizona; sisters Denise (David) Trautman, Darlene (Egbert) Terry, both of Sunnyside, and Dorthy (David) Richards of Puyallup. Grandchildren Zach, Zoe, Randi, Ryan and Charli. The family would like to thank Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice staff. The doctors and nursing staff at Radiant Care and Western Washington Oncology for their kind and compassionate care. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Dennis may do so to Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice or The Lewis County Animal Shelter. Visitation will be held Thursday October 13, 9-11 a.m. at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia. A funeral service is scheduled for 12 p.m. Thursday, October 13, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia. Arrangements under the direction of Brown Mortuary Service, Chehalis, WA.

I just learned of Dennis's passing and wanted to say how fond our entire family was of him. He was married to my sister, Joyce, for several years and raised her daughter, Michell, as his own. Dennis was a very good man and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace!
