Katherine W Hunter; June 5, 1940 to February 4, 2019. Kathy was born in Morton, WA. She resided in Winlock WA. with her husband Leonard Hunter. God called her home on February 4, 2019 with a massive stroke. She was preceded in death by her father Roy Cummins; mother Sophia Klundt; sisters Sharon Sutherland, Mary Jane Parker; brother Jake Johnson; daughter Sarah Otto and granddaughter Heidi Otto. Kathy is survived by her husband Leonard Hunter; brother Don (Joni) Johnson; son Brian (Shannon) Buchanan; daughters Tracey Lopez and Sherry (Brian) Tickner; son-in-law Ray Otto; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Kathy worked hard for many years as a laborer at National Frozen Foods and Weyerhauser Tree Nursery. She was a member of TOPS/KOPS for about 20 years. She enjoyed writing birthday notes and words of encouragement to all of the girls at TOPS; she was their ‘Sunshine Girl’. Kathy enjoyed drawing pictures and putting puzzles together. She also liked word find puzzles. In her younger years she loved to cook and bake. She liked to go for walks and to visit with others. She would greet you and say goodbye with a hug. She loved to go out to eat. She liked to fellowship at church. She enjoyed watching animals like deer and the ducks up the road. She liked dogs and cats and loved to chase and play with a dog named Star. Kathy dearly loved her husband, children, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
