Jong Kyu Hong

Jong Kyu Hong, age 71, passed away on January 4, 2019. Preceded in death by his father DuSam Hong, mother GilSim Joo, sister DukSoon Hong and brothers YoungSoo Hong and YoungRok Hong. Survived by his beloved wife of forty years Carol, his sister DukSim Hong, brother ChaePong Hong, son Michael Ma (Stephanie), daughter Elizabeth Haggerty (Mike), and grandchildren Henk, Nate, Jack, and Emma. Dear uncle to eighteen nieces and nephews. He was raised and grew up in Seoul, South Korea and lived in Chardon, Ohio. He was a welder at Lincoln Electric and a landlord of many properties. He was also an avid fisherman. Visitation Saturday January 12, 2019, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township, from 11am-2pm, where Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm.
