Alva J Ryan

old. A lifelong Chicagoan, born in Pekin, Illinois. Alva was the mother of six children, 14 grand

children, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren Despite her large family Alva

always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. She would

proudly boast about all of her children & grandchildren along with her great grandchildren.

Alva loved to be outside enjoying the sunshine and watching the flowers grow. She also loved to

travel when she was able. Another of her favorite things was to spend time with her family and

friends, enjoying her beer & margaritas. She loved life, her friends and family.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Alva that will be held Tuesday, May 30th 2023, at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625 from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will gather again for funeral prayers on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at 9am at Drake & Sons, followed by a 10:30 am Graveside Service at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.
