I remember when Donna took care of her mother along with her partner and sister

From cradle to wheelchair, from crib to hospital bed
In between many events, many people, are many moments that pass
Those who belong and hold to the hub of the essence of this person's life will meet time and time again under varied circumstances but always carrying the seeds and soul of the last time.
What world have we made that we must struggle in our homes with ailing again parents as we try to work and live the lives our worlds have required of us.
The relationship we had with our parents is forever tainted - especially by the complexities of in-home care.
To love & care for another - a parent - to go from daughter, friend, confidant, supporter, motivator, and champion to advocate, defender, keeper, protector....these are hard things for the child of a parent no matter the age.
And in our lives, we all pass through this "eye of a needle" alone in so many ways and graced in other ways by those who are there for us through all that comes our way.
My friend with the loving help of her partner and sister cared for her mother until they could finally be daughter and mother again through the relief of full-time nursing care. But COVID disrupted that and added a burden to their grief. This year, this healthcare system, these politics-they are not out here in some designated spot. They trickle down into the very lives and fabric of what we have cherished as family.
Like the butterfly effect, what happens in one place across the world over is having its effects everywhere along the path and there is no one thing that fails to matter in how it affects us in our world and in our hearts.
How will we learn, change, evolve if we let this persist. Donna, Karen, Deb are angels, survivors, and beautiful daughters. How fortunate they all were to have Sara and for Sara to have them
