Awe my cousin Derek I didn’t know what was going on as I never seen him for quiet a few years. He use to come hang out and stay at our house here In Seabird Island. He hung around mostly with my late brotherJamie and my sister Lenette. He always had a smile on his face always happy. The last I heard from him he messaged asked how I was doing? Was really good to gear from him. Much love to all my family. ❤️🌷💞

We just took a cruise thru town last week as he ate my last couple of twix chocolate bar. Hey cuz, wanna take me for a ride? I looked at my gas tank, um sure! I figured Isaac was getting in too, but he stayed he said he has things to do.
We drove in circles thru town and up othello and thru town again. It was a quiet drive but it was a nice drive.

When he came to the reserve to grab his cheque, I had him at the side if my van, geez cuz you looking a bit rough. Maybe you need to come stay with me for awhile. Maybe you need to go back into treatment eh?
"Yeah eh cuz, I know" we exchanged hugs.... I wish I held on a little longer not knowing it be our last hug.

Growing up with Derek was great. Him, mike n jay were the 3 musketeers! Lol. They did everything together. One time, they were to quiet in back room of grandma's house... uncle Neal's rooms... go and look and the the boys are looking at playboy books. Lol!! The moms got mad n laughed about it later. Ha ha ha.
Many days spent down in the Fraser beach, who can run faster, who can throw rocks farther across the river....these memories will be cherished forever.
I love you cousin, your journey to family on the other side has begun. Watch over those that loved you. ❤

You were such a bright young man with a future. You touched so many family and friends hearts. You always checked in with everyone, no matter where we were in our lives. You spoke about your family with pride. I am going to truly miss our chats and catching up in each other's lives....
Rest at easy and thinking of you always!

Really is tough knowing that we won't run into one another again. I feel like I have lost a brother. As i love you as a brother.
We have many memories since our child hood. Every family gathering all of us cousins would always hang out outside climb trees play in the waters of the lakes and creeks and Fraser River. Play card games. Board Games. Love you cuz. I will miss you so much.
