Karla Joanne Haynes of Rosedale BC passed away at home on the evening of August 25th, 2019. She was born on June 16th, 1974 in Quesnel BC to Gary and Eleanor Haynes. Karla is survived by her two boys Jayden and Ashton, partner Chris Murphy, father Gary, sister Sandra (Gerard Foley), brothers Sheldon Haynes (Theresa) and Darren Moran. Karla was predeceased by her mother Eleanor, stepmother Patricia, grandmothers Edna Haynes and Opal Rye, grandfather Leif Rye. Karla attended Maple Drive Elementary School in Quesnel BC until the family moved to Langley BC in 1986. In Langley, she attended Brookswood Secondary School until graduation, and then moved into a career in the automotive industry at Lordco Parts. Working at various locations at Lordco, she also resided for a time in Salmon Arm BC where she got to know her aunts, uncles and cousins better. She moved back to the lower mainland, Chilliwack to be precise and met John Vandermolen who she married in 2002. From this marriage came two very handsome and smart boys Jayden and Ashton. As life rolled on, differences came about and Karla and John separated. She moved to Grande Prairie AB to be with her brother and family. Her excellent resume in the automotive industry quickly landed her a job at the local Mazda dealership, but she couldn’t stay away from her great friends in the Lower Mainland, so when Chris brought the opportunity to return, she took it excitedly. Upon returning to Chilliwack, she took charge of Murphy Automotive and had a very busy life raising her boys and managing the business. Here she continued to make friends with her bubbly personality and endless courtesy. She was always looking for ways to help those in need. She loved life and loved her boys even more. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Chris, to loose the love of your life, your finance’, your foundational rock, and your best friend so early in life breaks our hearts. During our friendships with Karla and you, we have seen the love between you, and your faithful family commitments to each other and your children. Your bond between each other we describe as a Marriage which is a personal, physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual bond between one man and one woman, which no one can ever take that away from you.

To Karla’s boys Jaydon and Ashton, a mother's love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But your Mom’s goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace.

Karla your infectious smile and personality were to say the least truly addicting, the times we spent together really touched our hearts

To Karla and Chris families and friends, our sincere condolences and we are so sorry for your loss

Karla will never be forgotten

I met Karla through my job at Lordco......I delivered many parts there, sometimes 5 or 6 times a day! Karla always greeted me with that beautiful smile and that in itself made me smile too. She will be missed by many. Karla and I also had a common love-we both loved her dog Benny. I used to tell her that I was going to steal him when she was not looking, lol. Rest easy Karla

So many memories from the Lordco days and later. We often shared stories about our MR2's. Karla was taken from us much too early. I will always remember Karla and will miss her.
