Just remember the good fried chicken and other foods we had when we got home from church on Sunday morning and of course we had extra company.
We would have corn cob fights part of the time. Part of us would be in the barn loft and the rest of us on the ground. Also, going swimming in the lake behind the house.
A sister is a friend forever and they love you when you needed her for comfort and advice, help and strength. And will always forgive one another.
And the long rides to church and back behind the horse and wagon. But we had rubber tires on the wagon most of the time.
Remember our happy childhood made brighter by our fond love and tender care.
We had to walk 3 miles from school each day and fight with the Conner kids. There’s no time like the old times when you and I were young.
I will always love you. May God bless all of your family.
Your sister Juanita Humphrey
