Romeo was born in San Carlos, Pangasinan in the Philippines on February 16, 1945. He was married to Miriam Mesina Magno on December 31, 1983. Romeo served in the Filipino Army as an airborne ranger, then as an officer in the Filipino Constabulary, and after immigrating to the U.S. he served and then retired as a correctional officer at the R. J. Donovan Correctional Facility.
Romeo was a man who loved his family. He had a passion for learning, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
He will be forever remembered by his wife Miriam Mesina Magno, his daughter Anne Marielle Mesina Magno, his son David Mesina Magno, his granddaughter Arianna Marielle Gomez, his brothers Nemesio Magno, Gil Magno, Roberto Magno, Mario Magno, his sister Agnes Feruelo, his brothers Cesar Magno, Pascualito Magno, Juanito Magno, and Melchor Magno.
A Memorial Service in memory of Romeo will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 5:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
A Mass will be celebrated in memory of Romeo on Monday March 19, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 2643 Homedale St, San Diego, CA 92139. A funeral service will be held afterwards at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, CA 91902.
