Noel Leon Janikian

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 3pm, at Freedom Biker Church, 131 Guy Road, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, from 6-8pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business HWY West, Clayton, NC 27520. Arrangements are by McLaurin Funeral Home.

Noel was born in New Hampshire to the late Gregory Janikian of Massachusetts and Leanora Smith of Florida on December 4th, 1969. He married Victoria Masilionis on April 9, 1994 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He worked as a Master Technician for Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson formerly known as Ray Price Harley-Davidson in Raleigh, North Carolina for 14 years. Noel received numerous Brad Whitfield Ingenuity awards for his outstanding ability to think outside the box for practical solutions to complex problem repairs. He was considered the “electronic guru” by his co-workers.

Noel's greatest joy in life was being a husband to Vicki and father to Alex (17) and Natalie (11). He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, cycling and performing with the garage band he founded, Flywheel. He also founded the local band Face Pirates and Blown Duodenum. He was gifted at restoring vintage motorcycles and spent many late nights tinkering in his shop. Noel was also a gifted amateur chef. His three bean salad was always a hit during the holidays. He loved anything he could slap on the grill… whether it was an opossum or a juicy steak, it always tasted like chicken. His sense of humor will certainly be missed.

Noel is preceded in death by his grandparents, Aram and Mary Janikian, Leon and Rita Maloof of Massachusetts and Lea Hovesian also of Massachusetts.

Noel is survived by Vicki Janikian, Alex Janikian, Natalie Janikian of Garner, Dr. Gregory Janikian, his wife Kristen and daughter Elyse of Ohio, Richard Smith of Florida, Sonia Janikian and Diane Babikian of Massachusetts, Laura George of Massachusetts, Michelle Gallello of Massachusetts Sam Maloof of Florida, Diane Jennings of Iowa, Dawn Conforte of Maine, Brian Smith of Thailand, Bruce Smith of North Carolina and many cousins and second cousins from California, Washington, Montana, Virginia, Massachusetts and Florida.
