He was a graduate of DuBois Area High School, and was employed by McDowell Manufacturing until its closing in 2000, after which he worked for Goodwill Industries, PennDot, and Truhart Security.
In addition to three children, D. Suzi Manning and her husband Matt, Donald McCracken, Jr., and his wife Carolyn, all of DuBois and Brent McCracken and his fiancée Liezl Munda of Cerritos, CA. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family, as well as his longtime companion, Elaine Barrett and her family.
He was a courageous and selfless man who thought of others’ well-being before his own. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and visiting Rockton Mountain, and was fond of animals, especially Kirby, his Pug, who he referred to as “his buddy.”
