Edward "Birdie" Berdys age 98. Devoted husband of Olga (nee Zembik) (deceased). Beloved father of Barbara (Walter) Hawrylak, Bob, Beverly (Sergio Vega) (deceased) and Bruce. Dearest grandfather of Lisa, Wendy, Monica and Brian. Dearest great-grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Frank and the following deceased, Chester, Matthew, Walter and Eleanor. Birdie was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and POW. Lifetime member of PLAV Pulaski Post 30. Birdie was a proud lifelong resident of Tremont who loved the Cleveland Indians and all professional Cleveland Teams. He was a friend of Bill W. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers at CARES Tower, 3rd floor, V.A. Hospital Wade Park. Visitation Monday 4 - 8pm at Craciun Berry Funeral Home 7200 Detroit Ave Cleveland. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 11am at St. John Cantius Church 906 College Ave (Tremont). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
