Althea Abele

BAREFOOT BAY, Fla. - Althea M. Abele, age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, at Masonicare in Wallingford, Conn. She was the wife of the late Howard Abele Sr. Althea was born August 30, 1917 in Meriden, Conn. and was the daughter of the late Edward and Dora (Senecal) Krumm.

Althea was a member of St. Luke's Church in Barefoot Bay, Fla.

Althea is survived by her children and their spouses: Laurence H. and Patricia Abele Jr.; and Holly and Richard Knapp; her six grandchildren and their spouses: Debra and Robert Mierzejewski; Donna and Michael Arjavich; Laurence and Gina Abele; Samantha Gallagher; Marlo and David Prince; and Matthew Knapp; and nine great-grandchildren: Alexa, Nicole, and Taylor Mierzejewski; Tristan and Machaila Arjavich; Hannah and Tyler Abele; and Mallory and Sydney Prince.

A Mass will take place at St. Stanislaus Church, Meriden, on Tuesday, March 25, at 10 a.m.
