Carmel F. Mendillo, 91, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Born in Milford, Connecticut on January 17, 1930, Carmel, or Connie to her family and friends, was the daughter of the late Anthony Sparano Sr. and Mary (Monaco) Sparano. On June 30, 1952, Connie married the love of her life, the late Frank Mendillo, whom she cherished deeply. Together they shared a full life of friends and family vacations and holidays for 66 years. Connie was a very special person, she would do anything in the world for you. I lived across the street from Connie snd frank when I was 22, she was the first person that I met when we moved to Clinton. We remained good friends all through the years and always had great times together. I loved her so much snd will never forget all the joy she brought to us. Connie was one of a kind, loving , caring and a wonderful friend. Frank was waiting for her at the Golden Gates. RIP Connie, you will never be forgotten.

Aunt Connie was a beautiful person and made everyone's life who knew her beautiful. You couldn't feel anything but happiness when you were with her. Always smiling, always laughing, and now, always in my memory.

I will truly miss our lunches and sharing stories of days gone by. She made holidays, birthdays and family "turns" special. We always looked forward to Aunt Connie's and Uncle Frank's turn because you knew you were going to have a lot of fun and feast on the best food ever!

Rest in peace Aunt Connie and give Uncle Frank a big hug from me.

Love,
Mary
