James W. Nichols, age 68, a resident of Sterling Heights passed away on Sunday, Oct 13th at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. He was born on January 11, 1945 in Detroit. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed by Michigan Bell. Beloved husband of Kathy. Dear father of Matthew (Bessie), Joseph (Dawn), Rebecca (Jim) Munson and Steven Zawicki. Loving grandfather of Samantha, Jonathon, Ryan, Haley, Ashley, Zachary, Brian and Patty. Brother of the late Cynthia (Charles) Harkaway. Visitation Thursday 3-9 with a 7pm rosary service at the Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township. In state Friday 9am until 9:30am, the time of the funeral mass at St. Paul of Tarsus Church, Clinton Township. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Michigan. Memorials honoring the memory of Mr. Nichols may be directed to cancer research.

Prayer and deepest sympathy to Kathy and her family...I also became friends with Jim on FB...he joined "Ventors" 7 months ago...and shared his humor, knowledge with all of us and always the gentleman. I pinned and thrilled him thru many Tiger games, Ventors wont be the same...Funny how FB brings such close friendships without ever meeting...and Our BOBALOO will be truly missed...RIP
