Frances Elizabeth Hicks, 91, of Cocoa, Florida, went to be with the Lord joining her husband of sixty-three years on January 26, 2020. She was born in Lawrenceville, raised and married Carl M Hicks in Stone Mountain, Ga. Settling in Merritt Island, FL in 1959 where she became involved in First Baptist Church Merritt Island and served for the last sixty years. She was a Kindergarten Teacher at MICS.
Survivors Carlton L Hicks (Cheryl) and Stan D Hicks (Tammy); grandchildren Samara (Todd), Shannon(Damon), Travis (Lindsay), David and Blake; numerous great-grandchildren; great, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation on January 30, 2020, 10-10:30am in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Merritt Island, 140 Magnolia Avenue, Merritt Island, FL 32952. Funeral Service at 10:30am. Frances will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
