John “Jack” E. Pleger, 84, came to God and to rest in peace on September 19th, 2022. Jack was born March 8, 1938 in Minnesota, but was raised in Vallejo, CA. He was fortunate to have lived in many areas before finally moving to Merritt Island, FL where he retired from Military Sealift Command at Port Canaveral.
Jack was known as the man who always did the right thing. He was the man that engraved his footprint in your heart forever because he always let others shine. He cast a large shadow by being the most humble and kind leader in many people's lives. He was known for his big heart and would always take anybody in with open arms, despite the circumstances.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Judith R. Pleger and his son Jonathan D. Pleger. He is survived by his three daughters Angela A. Hansen, Amy M. Jameson and Shelby D. Moye and three Grandsons Timothy J. Moye, Blake E. Jameson and Gavin D. Jameson and Granddaughter Brandy D. Moye, as well as many grandchildren.
Please join the family for a visitation for John on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 North US Highway 1, Cocoa, FL 32927, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow.
