Amar P. Thibodeaux

Amar P. Thibodeaux, 71, went home to his eternal resting place on July 10, 2018 at his residence in College Station, Texas with his loved ones at his side. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 13th, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, with Reverend Albert LaForet Jr. and Chaplain Bill Plotts officiating. Interment will follow at the Aggie Field of Honor. Pallbearers are Dwight Thibodeaux, Alton Thibodeaux, Bill Scott, Mark Lewis, Bryan Thibodeaux, and Marc Thibodeaux.

Amar enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1965 and served aboard the USS Macdonough. After returning from serving in Vietnam, Amar joined the Houston Fire Department and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Agnes Thibodeaux and two brothers, Norris Thibodeaux of Crowley, LA and Alton Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA.

Amar leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 41 years, Lynne W. Thibodeaux; his son, Jeffery Thibodeaux of Houston, TX; his treasured granddaughter, Jordan Thibodeaux of Houston, TX; his brother, Aunteal Thibodeaux and his wife Dorothy of Youngsville, LA; brother-in-law, Mark Lewis and his wife Suzanne of Beaumont, TX and a host of relatives and devoted friends.

Biography

Amar P. Thibodeaux, 71, went home to his eternal resting place on July 10, 2018 at his residence in College Station, Texas with his loved ones at his side.
