She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and a faithful Christian example to all who knew her. She was born in January of 1934 in Cleburne, Texas to Edgar Hutto and Fayrene Livingston Hutto.
Christine was married to Joe Allen in August of 1953 and was blessed with 4 children. Together they made their home first in Cleburne. then moving to Fort Worth, Burleson, Hurst, Colleyville, and finally in Keller, Texas. Her hobbies were singing, quilting, sewing, trying new recipes, decorating a beautiful home, and shopping. About 10 years ago Christine was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, but she never forgot her husband Joe or her children.
Christine is survived by her daughters Rhonda Pledger and husband Jimmy and Terri Rutledge and husband Duane all of North Richland Hills, Texas; Sons Russ Allen and wife Susan of Val Alstyne, Texas and Michael Allen and wife Judy of Benbrook, Texas; Sister-in-law Helen Henslee and husband James of Cleburne, Texas, and several cousins, nieces, nephews; grandchildren Jeremy, Wes and James Pledger, Dustin, Christin, and Audrey Allen, Chaz and Spencer Rutledge; Step-Grandsons Jon and Kenny Rutledge: Great Grandchildren Madison, Annika, Cade, Tanner, Brynnan, August, Walker, Lila, Kinley, Mallory, Rylee, William, Ava, Emma, Landon, and Patton.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband or 64 years Joe Allen, and her sister Ann MacArthur.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ's Haven Children's home in Keller, Texas or Christian Homes of Abilene, Texas or the Alzheimer Research Foundation.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 4pm to 6pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Masks are required and there will be a limit of 10 people at a time in the room.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday morning at 10 am in the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel with immediate family only and Jim McDoniel presiding. Internment to follow in the Faith section of Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
