Gerold Wayne Harpole

January 30, 1957April 9, 2019

Gerold Harpole, of Euless, Texas passed away on 9th day of April in Euless, Texas. Jerry will always be remembered as a loving father, friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved him. He was born on January 30th in Toole, Utah to Claude Henry and Mary Margaret Harpole.

Jerry was a wonderful father/son/sibling who was full of knowledge, wisdom and work ethic. He had a passion for being a father and took on responsibilities that others may/did not take nor wanted. He was a tough skinned, straight forward, no nonsense type of guy but he was always honest and loved deeply. This man loved to fish and knew more about fishing poles than most professional anglers. He also loved the open road but most importantly he loved his family and will be sorely missed.

Jerry is survived by son Michael Harpole of Euless, TX, Mother Margaret Harpole and Father Henry Harpole of Ettrick, VA and Sister Julia Harpole of Hopewell, VA.

I met Gerold at CVS we always talked and he bought me a Christmas gift every year. I am just in shock. He told me he was retiring and I was like No. He told me he was going to fish and the other two things I will keep to myself (laughing). He was a Joy to me and I miss him. After he retired I walked by his desk like I don't want to talk to anybody but him. He was my friend and I miss him dearly

From the time I started here at CVS Health Gerold has been nothing but nice to me! He has always been helpful and knowledgeable. If you have a question he didn't hesitate to give you an answer. I found out a short while ago that he retired and I thought good for him! He can now enjoy himself and possible travel the world. I'm sad to know he passed away and my continued prayers are with his family... We will miss seeing you Gerold!

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Gerald. I am an Admin on the 12th floor here at CVS Health, and knew Gerald since the first day he started to work for us. We would from time to time talk about travel, family, what we might do if we ever retired. I remember when he came to me about a month ago and said he was finally going to do it and retire. He said he would probably spend some time in West VA visiting his folks and sister. Go fishing with his friends. Gerald was a good guy. He always went out of his way to help folks and me. When I struggled with my right root surgery, he helped me a lot in making sure I got help with a new wheel chair when I came back to work. He would say just call me, and I will help you if you need something. I thought about this good man and had a strong feeling to call him last Tuesday to ask him how retirement was going. My deepest sympathy to his family. Your Son, Brother, and Father was a very good man.

Gerold would always make my day every morning by greeting me with a warmly smile when I entered CVS/Health for work. He would always put a smile on my face and make my day when I hear his music and him singing alone to the songs. I could always tell that he was a loving, caring person, and he took his job seriously and with passion. He would assist you with anything you needed help with. I was so sad when I heard he had retired and I never got to say good bye and thank him for all he has done. Then when I hear that he has passed away brought sadness to my heart. Gerold I will truly miss you and your warmly smile and that tough voice when you need to address something when it came to your job. Your work ethic was outstanding and phenomenal. May you rest softly and peaceful. May God continue to strengthen your family doing this moment. God blessed and I will be praying for your family. RIP.

Every morning from the moment Gerald entered our CVS lives, greeting us each morning with a smile, his music playing and quick conversation , you knew what a caring man he was whom never failed to help everyone with anything they needed. He took care of our 6th floor team like he was part of us n he was and always will be. From the first day he retired I missed seeing his smiling face and Good Morning. I was in utter shock n disbelief when I heard the news, all he knew was he was going to be fishing and visit his family.. so with much sadness I hope this is an amazing vacation with our lord above and you are teaching God everything you loved about fishing and being free.. may peace be with his family and prayers of healing with his loss. He was loved and will be very missed.

I was so sad to hear Gerald had retired and now to hear he is no longer with us on earth very sad. It was always a joy to come into work and see his face. We use to count down when it was time for his vacation, so he could go see his parents and to fish. He was a very caring, funny and helpful person. He is truly missed. Praying for the family.

I'd only known Gerold for a short period of time, when I started working at CVS March 19th, 2018 he greeted me with the biggest smile. I am sadden to hear of his passing and I pray for strength and comfort for his family during this difficult time. He truly was the happiest man I had known and took great pride in his job, even up to his last day at CVS he went out with the same smile he greeted me with. He will be missed!

Gerald actually crossed my mind the other day, and I was hoping that he was enjoying his retirement, which was well deserved. When I heard the news, I didn’t wanted to believe it. On the contrary, I will always remember Gerald for his solid work ethic and always putting our safety first.
Gerald had a witty personality, and always made me laugh. He was always there to lend a helping hand when your hands were too full to open the employee entrance door, at CVS Health. He will truly be missed. God bless Gerald and his entire family.

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Gerald. I have known him for about 3 years, he was our security guard at CVS. He always kept us safe and always brightened my day. I could count on him for anything... even it was as simple as opening the door for me. When he announced his retirement I was sad that we were losing such a great co-worker. Gerald I hope you are resting in peace and keep everyone safe from up there. Till we meet again. Sending prayers and hugs to your family.

Gerald always greeted me with a big good morning and smile. He would advise me of anything going on that day. He was extremely helpful and was never afraid to go above and beyond his job duties. He will be missed.
