Jack Dempsey Golden was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Golden was a kind and generous person who would always help people. As a young man he worked in Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)
during the Depression, to help his family during those hard times, he was paid 30.00 a month, sending 25.00 home to his family and keeping 5.00 for himself.
Mr. Golden had a great sense of humor and was always looking on the positive side of Life. He loved to fish and would go home to Oklahoma every chance he got to fish the rivers and lakes where he grew up.
He was a dedicated family man and father, always there to help when needed.
Mr. Golden was a talented floor man, doing many custom floor jobs. He did the custom floor in the “Pink Rooster Restaurant”, in the Striplings Department Store in Downtown Fort Worth. He was a true craftsman in his field, and he was requested to do many special jobs. He also had his own carpet cleaning business after leaving the flooring business until his retirement. He had many regular repeat customers, who valued his friendship as well as his work.
He lived in California and Michigan at different times of his life, moving to Texas in 1947.
Mr. Golden was a charter and life long member of Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, serving in many capacities during the churches' early years.
Mr. Golden was married to his wife Irene Golden for 77 years, wedding anniversary on September 27th, he had a son, Jack G Golden and a daughter Cindy Boykin and a grandson Jeff Golden
In addition to his parents he was preceded by his three sisters, Eleanor Burklow, Irene Alexander and Tincy Reese.
The Jack Golden family will receive friends at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
A Graveside Service will occur at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Garden of Acacia.
