He was born on December 2, 1927 in Eldorado, Kansas to Ben and Ninnie Davis. John served in WW II in the Merchant Marines from 1945 to 1948. One month after his honorable discharge he married the love of his life Betty Irene Davis on April 22, 1948. He devoted his life to God, his family and was the loving rock of support throughout all of his life. His passion was serving God working in prison ministries, community outreach center and too many others to mention.
John is survived by his wife of 70 years Betty Davis; son and daughter in law Greg and Diana Davis of Arlington, TX; daughter and son in law Rebecca and Samy Beshay of Bedford, TX; grandchildren Erin Davis, Corina and Ray Boyer, Megan Shelton and Colton Shelton; Great Grand Children Maggie Davis, Grayson Boyer. He is preceded in death by his son Bradlee Ray Davis.
The Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. The Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
