Mrs. Madelyn Faye Baugus

Madelyn “Faye” Baugus, 81, of Bedford, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 27, 2020 in Bedford, Texas.

She will always be remembered as the most loving wife, mother, aunt, nana, mother in law, sister and friend anyone could ever hope to have and to all that knew and loved her. She was born on August 9, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Curtis and Lovie Viola Perkins.

Faye was married to the love of her life, Olen Baugus for over 64 years. Faye retired from UTSWMC. Faye had a servant’s heart and found no greater joy than sharing Christ’s love. Everyone who ever met or knew Faye could feel that love immediately. She truly loved everyone she ever met. Faye was a member of Center Point Church, North Richland Hills, Texas and for over 25 years was a member of First Baptist Church of Bedford, Texas serving in various capacities and served as Secretary and Treasurer for several years at Dexter Community Church in Dexter, Texas.

Madelyn “Faye” is survived by her husband, Olen E Baugus, 3 sons, Edward Baugus and wife Tracey Baugus of Bedford, Texas, Jimmy Baugus and wife Sheila Baugus of Bedford, Texas, and Mitchell Baugus and wife Sharon Baugus of Colleyville, Texas. 10 Grandchildren, Chris and wife, Jennifer Baugus of Marble Falls, Texas, Curtis and Janet Baugus of Arlington, Texas, Hannah Baugus of Bedford, Texas, Stephen Middleton of Terrell, Texas, Jennifer and Lance Wiseman of Dallas, Texas, Suzanne and Steve Crenshaw of Bedford, Texas, Jimmy Ray Baugus, Jr. and Sarah Baugus of Keller, Texas, Stanley Rex and Kayla Baugus of Bedford, Texas, Julie Baugus of Marshall, Texas and Blake Baugus of Colleyville, Texas, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and many many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Curtis Perkins, mother Lovie Viola Little Perkins, brother Therman Perkins, brother Orville Perkins, brother Ireland Perkins, sister Wanda Derring, sister Glenn Donaldson, and sister Anne Stewart

The visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the First Colleyville Church, 5300 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034, The Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation and will be held at 2:00 pm at First Colleyville Church, 5300 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, Texas 76034. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

If you are unable to attend but would like to participate, we will be Live-streaming the service on Sheila Bobo Baugus’ Facebook page.

I have many fond memories of my dear Aunt Faye. I’m so thankful and blessed to have been such a big part of your life. Thank you for all of the laughter and the tears that we shared together and for being not only an Aunt to my mother but you were a great friend and a wonderful big sister also! We all loved you dearly!
You were always in my prayers and you will now be forever in my Heart!
I believe that God sends angels on earth and you were one of them!
