At the time of her death she resided at Germantown Plantation, an independent living apartment complex in Germantown, TN.
June was the daughter of the late Trula (Murr) and Clyde Miller of Jonesboro, TN. She graduated from Sulpher Springs High School in 1947. She was predeceased by her sister Joyce DePew and brothers, Bruce and Robert Miller. She was married to George Davis for 47 years, before his death in 1996. She married Donald Fogle of Sebring, Florida in 1998-2005.
June had been a devoted housewife and mother. George and June built eight of their homes and one for their daughter's family. June did all the painting and finished all the woodwork, including the cabinetry. Later in life, she was employed outside the home in advertising sales for the Hanover Evening Sun Newspaper and then as an office manager for Dr. Morris Glick in Westminster, MD. After retirement, June and George co-managed a condominium complex in Singer Island, FL. By far, living and walking miles on the beach each day, West Palm Beach was her favorite place to live.
June was always active in the United Methodist Women of Sandymount and Spring Lake United Methodist Churches. June taught senior high Sunday school at Sandymount. Always willing to serve, she served as president of the Sandymount School PTA and was a Brownie Scout Leader. George was a charter member of the Roaring Run Lions Club and June enjoyed working with associated charities as a Lioness.
June loved to travel and was especially fond of the warm temperatures that South Florida provided.
June is survived by her daughter Lorraine Fogle and husband Harry Fogle of Collierville, TN, granddaughter Amanda Kate Ling and husband Trevor Ling of Germantown, TN and two great-grandchildren, Alaina and Devin. In addition, she is survived by God-Granddaughter Heidi Mengers and husband Tim Mengers and their four sons, Ethan, Sammy, Gabe, and Mark. She is survived by her close friend at Germantown Plantation, Mr. Wayne Burrell.
June is also survived by many nieces and nephews living in the Jonesboro, TN area, St. Louis, Missouri area and Maryland. She is also survived by sister-in-laws Georgia Miller of Gray Station, TN and Francis Swanner of Westminster, MD.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held April 29, 2017 in the Chapel at Pritt's Funeral Home in Westminster, MD. Visitation will begin at 9 am with the memorial service at 10 am. The family will have a private internment.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Memphis, TN.
June's life was exemplified by her presence in the lives of those she held dear. She exemplified this quote by Sogyal Rinpoche which states, "You don't have to do or say anything to make things better. Just be there as fully as you can." This was so true of who she was as a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a mother-in-law and friend.
