My memories of my cousin George go way back to the late 1950's up to present day. George was a really, really good guy and was always willing to offer a good word and helpful advice on a variety of subjects. When I was going into the Army, George was just coming home from his service in the US Navy. He was looking for a job and I introduced him to my boss at Leigh Press and he was hired on the spot to take my place. George held that job for the next 38-39 years and used to thank me all the time for that intro and job. I always used to say to him, don't thank me, thank yourself, you did a great job and they appreciated your work ethic. George always had a big heart and was a very loyal person, and I remember how he would stop over and see my dad and mom after his own father passed away. My dad always appreciated those visits. I never heard George utter a bad or negative word about anybody, no matter what,if anything was done to him. George, I will really miss you and my thoughts and prayers go out to Phyllis and Kevin. Rest in Peace my friend.......

Ive had the pleasure of knowing George for my entire life and can say without a blink that George was truly just a Nice Guy that always had a great smile about him no matter what life threw at him! He was a guy not about material things instead was just one of the guys who was about honesty, integrity and hard working and never ever boasting about anything he ever did! When you met George he always had a handshake for you! George will be greatly missed!

George was a good man: honest, simple, and without pretense. He was also thoughtful and tactful, and would never say anything deliberately to hurt anyone.
George will be missed, but his example for others will live on.

On behalf of my Family and the Office at Pewter Village we would like to thank George for his service to our beloved country. Our Condolences to Phyllis and her family, to quote a conversation I had with George before becoming sick," tomorrow is not promised to any of us, but to take the time and share a memory or a moment will last a lifetime". God rest your soul George I am blessed and fortunate to have shared discussions with you and your wife. Eternally grateful Jeff Rappa and Family
