Chlotille “Dimple Sue” McCarley, age 87, of Colorado City, died Thursday night in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014, in the First Baptist Church in Colorado City with Dr. Jerry Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Dorn Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. “Dimple Sue” was born September 19, 1926 in Colorado City to Ruben and Lala Dorn Hart and had been a long time resident of Mitchell County. She married Don Bolon on October 21, 1945 in Colorado City. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1987. She then married Kay McCarley on June 22, 1988 in Colorado City. She was a teller for the City National Bank for several years and a member of the Dorn Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Kay McCarley of Colorado City; a son, Douglas and wife, Vickie Bolon of Katy; 4 daughters: Donna and husband, Jack Starr of Colorado City and Cathy and husband, Mark Hill of Prescott Valley, AZ; Mona and husband, Bill Crockett of Colorado City and Charlsa McCarley of Ft. Worth; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5-7 Pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Heartfelt prayers for you Kay, Donna, Cathy, Douglas, Mona, Charlsa and families. Sue was one of a kind, an awesome woman of God, mother, grandmother, friend and mentor. Nevertheless she would always say with a smile. Sue has gained those angel wings. God bless you all!
