Cletus Charles Weltz
June 24, 1928 – November 20, 2019
Cletus, a long time resident of Burlington, CO., passed away, Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Cletus was born on June 24, 1928 to Aloise and Odelia of Hays, Kansas. He is the second of four children. Having moved to Goodland, Kansas in 1939, he then graduated high school there in 1946. Cletus farmed for a number of years before returning to his favorite task-mechanic, working for Sim Hodson Motor and Bill Rush Motors. He and Pat brought and operated the Sears Catalog store for a number of years. He was a member of the Burlington Fire Dept., the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church. He is proceeded in death by his wife Patricia, parents Aloise and Odelia, sister Irene, first child Dianna, son Arthur, as well as a granddaughter, great-granddaughter and great-grandson. He is survived by a sister Alice, a brother Robert, daughter Cynthia (Mike), sons Christopher (Kim) and Stephen (Mona), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cletus will be missed by all his family and friends. A graveside service will be held June 5, 2020 at the Goodland Cemetery for immediate family only.
