Ethel Hall Ann (Pearson) Rosebush passed away on December 5, 2018 in Colorado Springs, CO. Ethel was born May 26, 1929 in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Maurice W. and Marie T. (Conley) Pearson (both preceded her in death).
Ethel attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She met Kenneth Earl Rosebush while attending KU and they were married in 1949. Ethel supported Ken throughout his Air Force career (1949-1970), living in nine different locations before permanently settling in Colorado Springs. She enjoyed the social life that accompanied being a commander’s wife. Ethel and Ken owned a home in Colorado Springs and a ranch in Canon City. Ethel managed the two homes, while caring for her children, several dogs, many horses and cattle. Additionally, Ethel owned and operated an income tax business. Her sons will fondly remember Ethel as a loving and nurturing mother; as well as a dedicated and boisterous cheerleader at their sporting events.
Ethel was married to Ken for 56 years until his death in 2006. She is survived by her sister, Patricia M. (Pearson) Nystrom; three sons Kenneth E. Jr. (Janice), Michael A. (Gwenda-deceased), Russell C. (Kay), and grandchildren Lisa (Tim) Knurek, Scott (Krista) Rosebush, Kyle (Danielle) Rosebush, Clint (Kelly) Rosebush, Krista (Eric) Bogenrief, Shannon (Austin) Lenz and her 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be held December 15th, at 9:00 am, at Pauline Chapel, Colorado Springs, CO, followed by a gravesite service at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, CO.
