Jerry was my best friend and Sponsor for almost 20 years. He showed me the path to take to sobriety . After about two years of his sponsorship, we became friends. We were in contact with each other daily, in one form or another,
Jerry was an intelligent individual with a super sense of humor and quick wit. I believe his main goal in life was to simply help others, and that he did. He sponsored many people in AA and helped many folks on the Quitnet.
He loved his family. He loved his country. He loved life!
He will be greatly missed.

Who knew back in 2001 when I decided to quit smoking I'd meet Jerry on the Quitnet. A site to help with quitting. I found out he grew up in Chester IL and went to school with my husband. He visited us in IL and we him in CO. We became fast friends. I miss his emails and text messages. It's helpful to know he resting in the arms of Jesus out of pain. I pray God blesses his family with nothing but wonderful memories of the times they spent with Jerry.

Sad to hear of Jerry's passing. A good man with always a kind word and a great sense of humor.
A good friend, Master Locksmith and fellow junker. Will miss all the jokes.
