Iva was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Earl Treulieb, her two brothers, Harold and Fredrick Lowerre, and her sister, Emma Cicio.
She was born April 10, 1920, in Yonkers, New York to Harold Lowerre and Armenia Homan. She spent many years traveling with her husband in the Army before making a permanent home in Colorado Springs, CO.
Iva was a homemaker and devoted mother to her adoptive daughter and was instrumental in raising her two granddaughters. She was an extremely talented seamstress and artist who made her daughter’s wedding dress and granddaughters’ Halloween costumes for many years.
Iva was most known for her firecracker spirit with a heart of gold. She would always take in anyone less fortunate or down on their luck, and cared for everyone and everything around her. She loved animals dearly, and they brought her much comfort in her later years.
Iva is survived by her daughter, Joyce Treulieb, two granddaughters, Taya Treulieb-Kolostyak and Alexis Treulieb-Berk, two great-grandaughters, Malana Treulieb-Berk and Padme Treulieb-Berk, and her sister, Lois Hertz.
She was an incredible gift to this earth who gave everything for her family and touched the lives of many around her. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She will be buried next to her husband, Earl Treulieb, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
