Her family moved to Colorado Springs in 1948, where she attended Lowell Elementary, South Junior High and Palmer High School. At Palmer High she met her future husband. After staying home and raising her family she went back to school and earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology, where she enjoyed a fulfilling career.
Judi is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Dennis, son Victor (Lisa), two grandsons, Weston and Hayden, step-granddaughter Roberta and nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and daughter Tracy.
Judi was an avid reader, sometimes she could finish a book in one day. Her joy of knitting also lead her to making stocking caps for premature babies. She also enjoyed cooking for her family. Judi enjoyed singing and was a member of the Colorado Springs Senior Choral. Her biggest joy was her grandkids by whom she was affectionately known as Gramma Oopie.
Service will be Tuesday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM at Swan Law, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pikes Peak Humane Society.
