Laura Goffredi

Laura Goffredi, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 9, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 2, 1928, the only child of Bonnie and Richard Miller. Growing up in Greeley and Pueblo, she helped her father at the convenience stores at his gas stations. Laura met the love of her life, Al, while attending Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. They married on September 10th, 1947. Laura and Al moved to Grand Junction, Colorado after their wedding. Laura and Al were very involved in the Mesa College teacher activities. Her best friend, Gail Youngquist became like a sister to her. Laura enjoyed bridge clubs, exercise activities, line dancing and travel. Laura and Al were inseparable for their 70 years of marriage. Laura’s crowning jewels in life were her 4 amazing sons Rick (Natalie) Goffredi, Dave (Pam) Goffredi, Rodge (Colleen) Goffredi, and Paul Goffredi; as well as her 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Laura spent her life trying to maximize her time with her beloved family. Laura always planned fun activates when grandchildren visited including baking chocolate cupcakes and sugar cookies. Laura/Grammy/GiGi was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, “sister” Gail, and many dear, long-time friends.

A memorial service will be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado for close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado Mesa University Foundation - Goffredi Memorial Scholarship, 1450 N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501.
