We have a man in our lives and he would do anything for us and loves us unconditionally like you

It's been rough, dad, but me and mama are getting through it. I graduated and I wish you were there, but I knew you were with me in spirit anyways. I can see you in me and what I enjoy and my mannerisms. I'm learning more about myself and the people around me and I'm starting to become happier with myself. 

I'm almost 18 now. I wish you could be here to see me turn 18. I love you.

I'm 17 now, Dad. I got a job I really love and I know you'd be proud of me. I miss you. I still think about you. 
I wish you would have got to see me grow up but I know you're watching over me. 
You gave me the best music taste and I thank you so much for that. I'm practicing everything you taught me and learning more as I grow. 
I know you would have made an amazing father figure. I wish I could have got to experience it. I look up to you so much.

It's pretty late, Dad, but yesterday you would have been 50 years old.
I wish you could have been here to see me graduate next year. I wonder what it would have been like if you were still here.

Today, the month you would have been 48,  I look at your daughter and I see you.  Not only physically,  she draws like you,  she also has morals like you.  I make sure that she knows who you were,  at least what I knew.  I miss you everyday. I love you. 

We used to hang out and play games. Went to Darrels and Laddies. Or we would play D&D with Ralph and Chris. Miss you bud. 

Always thinking about Sonny, Jon, Pete, The Darbarian, and sometimes Mike hanging out at my place On W Ave C until all hours. Miss those days.

I found out your father had passed about a week ago.  Brought me down memory lane with you and your family Sonny.

Salvatore has my heart. I sang Unforgettable to him right before he passed because he loved it when I did it before when we first met.  I will be in pain until I see him again. RiP My love.

........my heart is breaking into a million pieces as I sit and think of the wonderful memories I was privileged to share with you Uncle Sonny. I saw. My heart saw. And as we both had to fight the same fight, everyone else's expectations of superficial life separated us as we plunged into 'real life' with only the knowledge of good and evil. We were taught that God was on our side and greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Jesus said we are forgiven and nothing more need be mentioned. I am guilty of not trying harder to keep y'all close. I should've fought the enemy harder! My heart and eyes flood with pain because I let the shame of my own stinkin' life make me feel less than perfect for my family. I KNOW YOU WERE FIGHTING this very same battle. In the midst of it all, throughout moments past, I remember your imagination. You shared so much of it with us kids that I carry so much of it with me EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. You showed us HOW TO BE JUST KIDS when everyone else expected so much adult of us. I've never been able to thank you Sonny. I invented something called HawgHeadz for motorcycle riders. The idea came from the T-shirt Ninja masks you dressed us in for your inventive RPGs. A friend and I sported them on a long bike ride and I got to share our kid stories. I know we're not kids anymore...I sometimes feel like I'm trapped there because so much just disappeared with no answers or explanations. I remember like yesterday, the sketches you flaunted for our "Wow dude!", "Awesome!", "Can you draw one for me?", "Can I be that character!?"
Now we can connect in spirit, flesh no longer separates us! I KNOW God will tell you, if He hasn't already, that I love you Sonny. I miss you. You are my friend. My Uncle and my cousin :) Please know that I repent for ALL who ever hurt you, including myself. I WILL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE BUDDY! Tell Papa I love Him and be sure to give Him a great big bear hug for the whole family!

Keep watch over us up there. You will always be remembered fellow Bulldog.

Last time I saw Sonny was when I was a little girl and my mom told me the devastating news just the other day . How I wish I got to know you more . A beautiful soul gone too soon . Rest in peace cousin Sonny

Sonny, I hope you have finally found what you were looking for. You are loved  and greatly missed more than you realize. You will ALWAYS have a place in our hearts. Not a day goes by that we don't think or pray for you. We love you so much sonny(sonny bear). We will see each other again. Love your Aunt Jewel And Rita

Sonny, may God keep you in the palm of his hand. Even though it is hard, I hope you found what you needed. You are forever in your family's thoughts and hearts. I love and miss you!

So many things left unsaid, so many things left to say. You where a good friend when I needed one the most. Miss and love you big guy, you where the brother I never had. You may be gone but I will never forget all the good time's, or the friendship we shared while you where here. Your friend always.

Some of my best memories are of hanging out with Sonny and Jon in Copperas Cove. Although we fell out of touch, I always hoped that Sonny found what he was looking for.
