Wendy Anne Kujalowicz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on June 28, 2011 at Mount St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Woolwich Kent, England on June 17, 1934, the second of three daughters born to the late Laurence and Odessa Sullivan.
Wendy emigrated from England at the age of twenty to marry her Air Force sweetheart, Edward, and raised six children while living the military life of multiple assignments before settling in Colorado Springs in 1969. She devoted herself to her family; working as an insurance clerk for a dental practice once most of her children were offhand.
Family was extremely important in her life. Wendy loved to travel, especially while being pampered on cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed cooking, knitting, and creating holiday egg decorations.
Wendy is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Edward Kujalowicz; her loving children: Catherine Parker of Peoria, Arizona; Paul Kujalowicz of Scottsdale, Arizona; Donna Crane of Richardson, Texas; Joann Ali of Colorado Springs; Judy Moldenhauer of Colorado Springs; Edward Kujalowicz, Jr. of Colorado Springs; her precious grandchildren: Katie Witt, Jason Crane, Shaun Parker, Jennifer Crane, Brandi Trapp, Megan Rigby, Taylor Kujalowicz, Matthew Moldenhauer, Sara Moldenhauer, Yousef Ali, Hannan Ali, Yasmeen Ali, Nicholas Kujalowicz, Ryan Moldenhauer, Farah Ali, Kylee Kujalowicz, her cherished great-grandsons: Nathan and Andrew Witt; as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Friday, July 1, 2011 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
