Winfield Scott “Buck” Rogers went to join his beloved wife, Dorothy, in Heaven on January 7, 2011 where together they will begin their eternal life. He was born in Colorado Springs June 15, 1920. He was the youngest of seven children born to Vern and Geanettie Rogers. Winfield lived a rich and fulfilling life – always with a laugh, a smile, and a positive attitude, and saw no wrong in any person.
A member of the First Christian Church he sang in the choir for 58 years, he was a professional soloist. He also sang with the Barbershop Chorus. His voice will be truly missed.
Winfield leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Thomas (Myrna Hernandez) Rogers; daughter, Susan “Celeste” Rogers; daughter, Karen (Rick) Bridges; three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Winfield served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 as a radio and teletype operator and in the Naval Reserve from 1947 to 1950. He retired from a career with the Civil Service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., First Christian Church, 16 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
