I loved Hershel Stidman. He was a father figure to me when I needed one the most. He taught me how to work and how to be a man.

He was the best grandfather anyone could ever wish for.... He loved all of us kids and always had time for us and NEVER said no!!! He was so happy and playful and loved to aggravate. He was like a father to me, I was with him all of the time from the day I came home from the hospital as an infant. He loved to sing "You are my sunshine" to all of us and had us all singing with him.. Him and I would rock out in the truck to The Judds and sing the songs from beginning to end...He would let me put Nana's curlers in his hair... He would let me clean his ears and trusted me to do it at such a young age.... He knew everything, no matter what I asked him he had an answer....He was a hard worker and was always gone early in the morning cleaning his pools.. When he got home he would work in the garden or yard till supper was ready then he would pick his onion for us to eat with our meal. After supper he would sit in his chair and enjoy his CBS 2 news... The list could go on with this man!! He was very loved by all of us, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed!! I love you Popa!!
