Melinda Sartin, age 56 of McComb, MS passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Walthall Community Hospital in Tylertown, MS. A native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of McComb, she was a farmer with Buford and Son’s Dairy Farm, and Douglas Popwell Dairy. Melinda was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Sartin was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Blackwell. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Steve Sartin of McComb; a daughter, Amy Merritt and her husband, Jacob of McComb; three sons, Matthew Sartin of McComb, Kevin Sartin and his wife Heather, of Foxworth, MS, and Michael Sartin of McComb; and ten grandchildren.
A funeral service for Melinda will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home, 323 Second St, Columbia, MS where family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time. Reverend Ron Jordan will preside over services and interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Tylertown, MS assisted by Matthew Sartin, Jr., Terry Sartin, Ricky Sartin, Bryan Sartin, Marty Sartin, Kadee Sartin, and Keith Arnold as pallbearers.
