Alice and her son, Paul, were our kind pew neighbors at St. John’s. Alice was the perfect lady. I enjoyed a visit with her and learning that her family and mine had enjoyed Pocalla Springs, a local pond and playground, between Manning and Sumter, where my twin cousins and I played as children as well. What a small world.
Alice told me that her family watched the coronation of Queen Elizabeth on tv. She was a lovely person and will be missed.
Our condolences to her family.
